The energy transition and climate challenges increasingly require integration between technology, planning, innovation, and collaboration. In this scenario, expanding spaces for dialogue among professionals, companies, the public sector, and experts becomes essential to building more efficient, sustainable solutions connected to the future of cities and energy in Brazil.
It was with this purpose that Mitsidi hosted, on May 26th, the 5th edition of the Women in Energy event, bringing together professionals and leaders at Arca Hub in Rio de Janeiro for an evening of debates, networking, and experience sharing on strategic themes for the energy and climate sector.

The 2026 edition marked an important milestone of consolidation for the initiative. Besides being the second in-person edition of the event, it was also the first one held in Rio de Janeiro, further expanding the gathering's reach and relevance.
Public interest exceeded the organization's expectations. There were 434 registrants, a number significantly higher than the in-person edition held in 2025 in São Paulo, which had 101 registrants. This high attendance highlights not only the relevance of the topics covered but also the importance of initiatives that promote high-quality connections and strengthen female participation in a sector historically marked by representation challenges.

Throughout the event, female experts and leading figures in the sector debated topics such as decarbonization, energy efficiency, smart cities, climate planning, artificial intelligence, digitalization, public lighting, and the strategic role of municipalities in the energy transition.
More than just tracking trends, the panels showed how these transformations are already impacting companies, governments, and cities, requiring new approaches to energy management, urban infrastructure, and sustainable development.
Among the guest panelists were Aline Xavier, Natália Moraes, Raíssa Cabral, Bruna Zanicoski, and Julia Mendes, who shared experiences, challenges, and perspectives on innovation, climate, and energy.
The debates were also moderated by Daiane Elert and Rosana (Rox) Corrêa, leading rich and in-depth discussions on the paths of the energy transition in Brazil.
The event was hosted by Juliana Benévolo, the edition’s Master of Ceremonies, who contributed to a light, dynamic, and welcoming atmosphere throughout the entire program.

Mitsidi also highlights the support of WEE – Women for Efficiency and Energy, an important network for strengthening and encouraging female participation in the sector.
For Gabriel Frasson, CEO of Mitsidi, initiatives like this play a strategic role in building a sector better prepared for future challenges:
“We are very proud to promote spaces that connect such highly qualified professionals to debate fundamental themes for the future of cities, energy, and the Brazilian climate agenda. More than an event, initiatives like this strengthen networks, expand opportunities, and help build a more diverse, collaborative sector prepared for the challenges of the future.”
Mitsidi's Technical Director, Rosane Fukuoka, highlighted as a “great inspiration for everyone at Mitsidi and also beyond our walls,” has played an important role in building and consolidating the initiative, which has grown with each edition and strengthened as a space for technical dialogue, collaboration, and professional development.
In addition to the content presented, one of the main highlights of the gathering was precisely the building of connections. The moments of networking, sharing experiences, and interaction among participants reinforced the sense of community and collaboration that has marked the journey of Women in Energy since its first editions.
